A sample selection of a few portraits captured whilst meeting Charlie McClean in his whisky tasting room in Edinburgh. Charlie is an expert and writer of all things relating to scotch.  What this guy doesn’t know about whisky, is probably not worth knowing.

These are just a few of the images captured whilst travelling across the southern coastline of Iceland last year. Although brief, the trip from Reykjavik, through Vik and on to Hof served as an ideal opportunity to experience some of the dramatic and varied landscapes that Iceland has to offer. An amazing and inspiring place. More images can be found on my website www.paul-hollingworth.com.

Jocktoberfest is an annual beer festival that takes place in early September at the Black Isle brewery, just north of Inverness. Aside from drinking copious amounts of outstanding beer and occasionally rolling off hay bales I did find some time to capture a few images of the weekend. Highly recommended!

Artificial Anatomy was a self initiated project intended to explore our understanding of surface, texture and volume. The human head and skull were used as a canvas; familiar structures onto which coloured paints were poured to define their surface and shape. Corresponding images of the head and skull were captured at varying stages of the paint coverage. Images were then edited and combined in post to form hollow multilayered anatomical forms that appear to be suspended unaided in space.
