A sample selection of a few portraits captured whilst meeting Charlie McClean in his whisky tasting room in Edinburgh. Charlie is an expert and writer of all things relating to scotch. What this guy doesn’t know about whisky, is probably not worth knowing.
A few images from a recent food shoot for Dram & Smoke. D&S founders Paul and Nick specialise in creating unique pop-up dining experience all across the UK from central London to the highlands and Islands of Scotland. This particular event was running throughout the entirety of August as part of the Edinburgh Festival. Impressive food served up with some outstanding beer and cocktails.
I had the chance to visit Edinburgh based audio visual installation experts Ray Interactive as they finished work on a giant synthesiser for Relentless Energy Drink due to feature at the Junction 2 techno festival in London. Some amazing and very entertaining big toys that are capable of producing some outstanding beats and samples… sure to be a hit at the festival.
Here are a few shots captured whilst sampling some of the amazing beers on offer at the Edinburgh Craft Beer Festival at the biscuit factory in Leith. As well as some stunning beer from the likes of Beavertown, Tempest, Wiper and True, Brewdog and Mikeller (to name just a few), the event offered some cracking street food from The Pitt, Edinburgh Pizza geeks, Unami and the Buffalo Truck. Throw in a few DJ sets and the result is sure to be a winner.
A few shots from a recent shoot for Dram & Smoke as they prepare for a series of pop-up events at the Biscuit Factory during the Edinburgh festival. They’re serving up some seriously tasty food and drinks… well worth checking out!
I’m looking forward to capturing some unique footage and imagery with my new Phantom 3 drone. These are a few images captured during it’s maiden flight on a particularly uninspiring, cloudy day in Edinburgh. This thing is brilliant to fly. The controls are easy straight out of the box, whilst the camera is able to capture some stunningly crisp footage and images. Well worth the money… go get one!
A selection of images captured at The July 4th Gathering in Edinburgh. Set against the raw, urban backdrop of The Biscuit Factory in Leith the event was intended to encourage and inspire designers, photographers, models and stylists to come together, collaborate and share new ideas. Thanks to Scot Street Style for organising the great event.
This selection of images were captured during a brief visit to an old Biscuit Factory in Leith. The disused factory located on Anderson Place has been recently transformed into an exhibition space and creative hub for online retailers, fashion photographers and independent businesses. While the majority of the building is currently undergoing a facelift, the top floor remains seemingly unchanged since its days as a working factory. A great building with some amazing interiors.
